Unilagfaces go places.

It's been quite a while since we conversed and I miss that a lot. There is also a very good reason for not writing on my site and it's this: A few friends of mine and I have launched a site called unilagfaces.com. It's a student blog and it's all about reaching out to the UNILAG (University of Nigeria) community and to the student community generally all around the world. It's a site that tells everyone that they can be financially independent as fast as they want to; doing internet businesses and having the opportunity to unveil their potentials, reaching out and grabbing the future. A lot of people need to see the world as it is today and notice that there are alot of changes going on and you have to figure out which one you need to involve yourself in and which one you have to give your support to. Francine Rivers.
This is one author that after reading her book Echo in the darkness, I completely wanted to read any other one I could lay my hands on and I satisfied my thirst but not completely. haha.
Francine Rivers has been writing for over twenty years. From 1976 to 1985 she had a successful writing career in the general market and won numerous awards. She became a born-again Christian in 1986 and wrote Redeeming Love as her proclamation statement of faith.
Since then, Francine has published many books in the CBA market and has continued to win both industry acclaim and reader loyalty. Her novel The Last Sin Eater won the ECPA Gold Medallion, and three of her books have won prestigous awards.
Francine uses her writing to draw closer to the Lord, that through her work she might worship and praise Jesus for all He has done and is doing in her life. Her books "Echo in the Darkness and As sure as the Dawn" won the RITA Award in 1995 and 1996. That's really something but then again it's not surprising. haha.

A Voice in the Wind.

An enthralling book written by Francine Rivers. I think I talked briefly about it but I guess this is an opportunity to know more about it. I never realized how bad or how good your actions can affect the life of a particular person or any person at all. This book is full of God's mercy, forgiveness and eternal love which was shown to Hadassah who played a major part in the lives of almost all the characters in the book. Her love for God did not blind her eyes to the love Marcus had for her. She saw to it that she served others to their satisfaction because she believed that God had a purpose for her on the earth and this purpose was for her to serve others until she had no breath left in her. This made me understand that whatever assignment you are given to do, you should do it with everything you have and never rush to do anything because you could be given the same opportunity in future but you would do a better job at it than you would do now. Julia never listened to her parents because she thought that the life she led while following in the tracks of her irresponsible brother was the right life to live. Her parents tried to shield her from a wicked, sinful world but she decided that her way was better and ended up doing alot of mean, regrettable things.Unknown to Marcus, his sister's rebelliousness was a result of the bad life and things he got involved in. He failed to noticed how fast his behaviour was rubbing on his younger sister and how easily he could be driven to do anything Julia wanted and still make sure that she was doing the exact same thing that Marcus would have done under the same circumstance. I truly enjoyed this book because Hadassah never was ashamed to tell anyone about the God she served and was willing to help anyone in any way she could. I think it would be great to grab the book and see for yourself.

Nicholas Sparks.

Nicholas Charles Sparks was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 31, 1965, the second son of Patrick Michael (1942-1996) and Jill Emma Marie (Thoene) Sparks (1942-1989). He lived in Fair Oaks through high school, graduated valedictorian in 1984, and received a full track scholarship to the University of Notre Dame.
After breaking the Notre Dame school record as part of a relay team in 1985 as a freshman (a record which still stands), he was injured and spent the summer recovering. During that summer, he wrote his first novel, though it was never published. He and his wife Catherine, who met on spring break in 1988, were married in July, 1989. While living in Sacramento, he wrote his second novel that same year, though again, it wasn't published. He worked a variety of jobs over the next three years, including real estate appraisal, waiting tables, selling dental products by phone, and started his own small manufacturing business which struggled from the beginning. In 1990, he collaborated on a book with Billy Mills, the Olympic Gold Medallist and it was published by Feather Publishing before later being picked up by Random House. (It was recently re-issued by Hay House Books.) Though it received scant publicity, sales topped 50,000 copies in the first year of release. He wrote two novels that were never published but he never gave up on writing. Infact, after selling his first novel, the first thing he bought was a new wedding ring for his wife? You can achieve whatever you want to achieve in life if you remain focused.

This is another author whose archaeological novels I really love. He has a very inspiring way of getting the attention of his readers. Mike’s first published book was about his wife’s pregnancy and the birth of their twin sons. After several more nonfiction titles, Mike undertook a lifelong dream to renew the popularity of Scottish writer George MacDonald, whose teachings had been central to Mike and Judy’s spiritual growth. As many as they are people still love buying them.It's really easy to read especially for the young readers.The pictures in the books help to develop and sharpen their imagining abilities. They can give a good description of the book if called upon because the pictures are quite clear and self-explanatory. The good thing about these books, is that many of them have been made into movies which are really interesting and fascinating. The Oliver Twist is really an impressive book and the movie is what you call a-you-have-to-see in different versions.There are so many more but then you may know of them: The Count on Monte Cristo, Moby Dick, Frankestein, Little Women, Robinson Crusoe, Treasure Island, The Swiss Family Robinson, Captains Courageous e.t.c. The author of the Shefford-Johnson case has had many experiences that were obviously in some of the books she wrote. That goes a long way to say that life experiences and answers can always be gotten from some of the novels we read and this also points out the fact, that in every fiction of literature or rubbish, there is always an element of truth and alot of lessons to learn from them. Wanda does alot of things alongside her writing and she is quite successful. When you set your mind up to do something you'll do it perfectly. She writes many interesting books while facing the hardships of life and taking care of her family, but she still finds time to be the best she can be. The Mark Of The Lion Trilogy.

These books are really interesting and it covers alot of things in life that really do happen and infact,fictions have a" great" element of truth in them. If Julia had not been influenced by Calabar, she'd never have turned out the way she was. If Marcus did not introduce Julia to the games, her life might not have been so bad and he would still love her dearly. If he didn't let his temper get away with him he might not have lost Hadassah completely for a long time and those scars................ I sometimes put myself in her shoes and wonder if it was me it happened to what would I do? How would I face the world? I can't imagine what would have become of Atretes and his son Caleb if he hadn't found the love of God and his direction. Without a shadow of doubt, I tell you to find time and get this book you will be more amazed than I am and find it more interesting, you'll love it. The mark of the lion on Hadassah's face didn't stop her from loving God. She loved him even more.

People feel if they are like a particular person then everything will be alright for them but that really is not so. We were all made to be what we are meant to be so that our full potentials and true self will reflect from inside out. Some people are afraid of what they really are because they feel they won't be accepted but I tell you , "Be all you can be" and you'll be well respected anywhere you go. I heard a quote from a movie I saw and till today I can never and will never forget that quote. it is really inspiring because it helps people see that holding yourself in high esteem brings out the best in you with effective alacrity. You don't have to suffer and be what your friends want you to be and infact, they are not really friends. Let them be friends with you on your own terms and not on theirs, you don't have to bend to their rules and suffer for not being who you are. The quote went like this:

This author that I stumbled over set my ball rolling for her books. As soon as I picked up her Oceans Apart novel, I couldn't wait to read another of her books and surprisingly, she has some of her novels in DVD; isn't that great? Karen Kingsbury pictures the best phrase of all in her books and that is "Love is the greatest gift of all". I really enjoy her books and the way she writes but you gotta find out for yourself, you could read at least one of her novels in the coming week and visit her site too;you'll be convinced. Have a nice time while doing it.

These three books Abduction, Obsession and Intimidation are books I guarantee you, you'd want to read. I read Obsession once and I was obsessed with wanting to read all three. Detective books are my book weaknesses and they really keep you in suspense and at the same time gives your mind alot to feed on, but then again it's good food.haha. The author which I dub my hat off to is really amazing, she captures the ears of her readers and holds them in her "book worming" embrace and I think I'll be reading more of her books and if you are wondering why I'm saying that try reading The Shefford-Johnson case files. You'll become Obsessed. [I think Obsession is my favourite].

If you haven't read Michael Phillips "Rift in time and Hidden in time" you had better drive to the nearest developed book store and get it. Those books are really the bomb. It's so adventurous and it keeps you in such suspense that you don't want to come out of. I mean the book is a you-must-read kinda book. Michael wrote a lot of things in the book straight out of the Bible, so that people won't fail to see that there are a lot of things that have spiritual or religious significance not just by way of speech but in the lives of his characters. In Rift in Time, Archaeologist Adam Livingston makes the discovery of a lifetime when he finds evidence of the existence of Noah's Ark. Though ambivalent about religion, Adam soon is encouraged to start rethinking his attitudes toward God, especially after he meets his housekeeper's niece Juliet Halsey. He had to come to terms with the facts that he wasn't in control of everything and that things became more interesting when God was in it. Juliet is living with her aunt and slowly recovering from the aftereffects of a terrorist bombing that killed her father and brother. To Juliet's horror, it soon appears that a terrorist group is now targeting Adam. Together, the two investigate the group, which appears to want Adam to stop finding more proof of the Bible's truth. Although some of the characters tend toward the stereotypical, this exciting thriller should still appeal to most readers.

Tim Lahaye.
The author of Babylon Rising, Secret on Ararat and others and the co-author the famous Left Behind series. This author sure has a way of attracting people's interest. He really knows what a reading-novels-lover wants to see in a book and also ho to hold the person in rich suspense and how to make up for it with a tremendous climax. I love all the books that i've read that are his. You need to try reading some if you haven't and you'll agree with me.

The Pride and Prejudiced.

There are many unique books that have been made into movies and I think The Pride and Prejudice is one of them. The book and the movie do not really have differences unlike other novels even though the movie has both the American version and the British version which is truly interesting and interestingly done by Colin Firth.The movie made me enjoy the story even more because I never imagined Mr Darcy to be that funny and very nice yet "insufferable" as Elizabeth was so fond of saying. Nevertheless, I can tell you that the novel is full of lessons both to the young and old in all life's issues. I kind of prefer the British edition of the movie, it was lively and filled with more intrigue and a great sense of humor. It made us see the reason why the proud have pride and why the prejudice are prejudiced.You know, there is actually an element of reality in fictions of literature and that really gives me alot of things to think about. I feel that it helps people know how to handle both the pride and the prejudice.Get a hold of the movie in the British version, you'll be hooked forever.

It has alot of advantages like: It accomodates over 5,000 favourite songs of yours pictures, movies, amongst many other things depending on the memory size of the ipod which could be 20GB, 40GB, 60GB. Most fascinatingly, it can convert written files to voice files or better yet, you can have your favourite novel on your ipod everytime, anywhere. It does not have to be your favourite novel, but the download of an excerpt or the first chapter of a novel or an entire novel. this depends on the memory size. It was different yet funny because i never visualised the characters the way they were on the movie.I never thought for one moment that Bruce would be an African American or Buck would be famous Kirk Cameron{my best character}. I loved the movie and was even more thrilled when Tribulation Force{Left Behind 2} came out. After that i sent an e-mail to Leftbehind asking if they were going to produce the third part and they did.
